Labor Day Weekend 2006

We spent this weekend with my Brother-in Law and his wife. We stayed at the Hotel in Newark Ohio the first night. Us guys had a great time taking pictures for a couple of hours that first night. The next day we visited Longabergers Headquarters, Homestead and then Dresden. Dresden is the city where Dave Longaberger started. Dresden was cleaned up and is now filled with shops selling various Longaberger items and accessories. Popeyes Restaurant was started by him and is now owned by Longaberger. Then we went to Marietta on the Ohio River and stayed in the Lafayette Hotel next to the river. The next day we went to the Fenton Glass Company and bought some gifts. Then on down the Ohio River to Belpre Ohio and the Lee Middleton Doll Company where we bought dolls. This is where I found my granddaughter's picture in their doll museum. She was on the box of their Newborn Wonder and Small Wonder dolls a few years ago. From there we headed north to Amish country where we ate good food and shopped in some great stores. Of course we took many pictures along the way. You have to know my Brother-in-Law and I have a constant photo contest going.
