Our Overnight Trip To Geneva State Park and Lodge
We left on Wednesday around 1:00 and arrived at about 3:00 we had lunch on the way. We checked in then waited for everyone to arrive. Then about 4:00 four couples headed for the Old Mill Winery to test and drink their wines. At about 5:30 we drove to the Ferrante Winery for more wine and dinner. After many laughs and a good dinner of salads and different pizzas. We went back to the lodge in a blinding snow storm. The first thing we all did was get into our swim suits and head for the pool and hot tub. We awoke to a very sunny day with temps at 30 for most of the day. We all went to the restaurant for breakfast then most hung around the lobby talking and working on puzzles. Two of us went out to take pictures around the lodge. The temperatures helped keep the snow on the trees and shrubs so we got some great pictures. Most of us decided to go on a covered bridge drive and take pictures after check out. One couple did decide to go to a casino another hour east of the lodge. The following are the pictures I got on the overnight trip. When we got back to Cleveland the temperatures were in the high thirties. GREAT TIME and GOOD PICTURES!
